 Short Bio (under 50 words):

Meera Trehan is a writer, reader, and lawyer. She practiced public interest law for over a decade before turning to creative writing. Her debut novel, THE VIEW FROM THE VERY BEST HOUSE IN TOWN, was released in February 2022. She lives in Maryland with her family. 

Longer Bio (under 150 words)

Meera Trehan is a writer, reader and lawyer. She grew up in Virginia, just outside Washington, DC, where she read as much as she could, memorized poems, and ate enough cookies to earn the nickname “Monster” after the Cookie Monster. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia, where she double majored in Economics and History, and Stanford Law School. After practicing public interest law for over a decade, she turned to creative writing. Her debut novel, THE VIEW FROM THE VERY BEST HOUSE IN TOWN, was released in February 2022 from Walker Books US, an imprint of Candlewick. She lives in Maryland with her family.
